In September of 2021, I enrolled in DesignLab’s UX Academy Foundations course with the goal of refreshing my UX design skills from college and then moving on to their 6-month UX Design bootcamp.
The brief required a website and iOS app concept for a travel website targeting frequent travelers and adventure seekers between the ages of 21-30 - from there, I designed a desktop web landing page and an iOS app, along with the brand identity for this fictional company.
For this concept, the final result had to be exciting and modern. Lighthearted buttons or icons - "Let's Fly" instead of "Go". Clean sans serif fonts - Raleway largely for headers and Open Sans for body styles. Adventurous colors - think Indiana Jones. And finally, bright, high-energy photography meant to inspire wanderlust.
